Kathy Rocklen, a corporate and securities law attorney, is a partner in the Corporate Department and co-head of the Financial Services Group at Proskauer Rose LLP. Before joining the firm in 2000, she was general counsel for a prominent UK investment bank, a regulator for the New York Stock Exchange, and in private practice.
She counsels investment funds and advisors, major financial institutions, and large brokerage firms on regulatory, transactional, enforcement, and litigated matters. She is also an adjunct professor of law at Fordham University School of Law, where she teaches broker-dealer regulation. She serves as treasurer and chair for finance and investment of the not-for-profit civil rights law firm New York Lawyers for the Public Interest and is a former vice president of the New York City Bar.
