The Honorable Richard W. Gordon (retired) was a US administrative law judge for the Social Security Office of Disability Adjudication and Review in Tennessee. He conducted “de novo” hearings and made decisions on appealed determinations involving retirement, survivors, disability, and supplemental security income benefits.
Previously, he was a trial judge for the US Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission in Boston, deciding contests of citations or penalties resulting from OSHA inspections of American work places. He also served as the chief deputy clerk for the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Boston and as a major in the US Army Reserve Judge Advocate General Corps.
At New England Law | Boston, he was on the staff of the New England Law Review and was a member of the Honors Moot Court Team.
