Steven DiCairano is currently a Litigation Associate at Mirick O'Connell, where he primarily focuses his practice in the area of complex commercial litigation. Prior to his current role, DiCairano was a Litigation Associate at a large law firm, where he worked in the areas of professional liability defense, insurance coverage, and financial services. Before entering private practice, DiCairano served as a Judicial Clerk for Justice Andrew M. Mead of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and Chief U.S. Magistrate Judge David H. Hennessy of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. DiCairano has also coached the Suffolk Law National Moot Court Team since 2016.
Most recently, DiCairano had the opportunity to draft an amicus brief to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court on behalf of the Boston Bar Association. The matter involved the propriety of consent-to-settle clauses in professional liability insurance policies, an issue which affected nearly all attorneys in the Commonwealth. He describes the undertaking as challenging but rewarding.
